Last date for admission in Jamia Millia Islamia University extended, know till when you can apply..

Jamia Millia Islamia University has continued the admission process for the 2025-26 session. The university has now extended the last date to apply to 13 April 2025. Earlier this date was fixed as 10 April, but considering the convenience of the students, it has been increased by three days.

During this time students can apply for UG, PG, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, and Certificate courses. To apply, one has to visit the official website of Jamia, . The entrance examinations to be conducted by Jamia University will start from 26 April 2025. Admit cards for these examinations will be issued online from 17 April 2025.

Students will be able to download them through their registration number and password. At the same time, for the courses in which admission is based on CUET or JEE Main score, the application forms will remain open for 10 days after the results of these examinations are declared.

Courses offered through CUET

This year, the number of courses offered at Jamia Millia Islamia based on CUET scores has increased to 25 from only 20 last year. This means that now there are more courses in which admission will be given only based on CUET exam results. This change has been made to give equal opportunity to students at the national level.

Launch of new courses

Jamia University is also starting many new courses this year, which aim to provide more professional and creative opportunities to the students. The major courses among these are Bachelor of Design (four-year course), BSc Honours Computer Science (four-year), and MFA programs like Design and Innovation, Textile Design, Graphic Arts, Arts Management, and Curatorial Practice.

Along with this, certificate courses like Creative Photography, Calligraphy, and Art Writing are also being started. Some of these courses will be self-financed.

Special facilities for foreign students

This year Jamia University has also started some special facilities for foreign and NRI students. The fees for these students have been reduced in the diploma course of the University Polytechnic. Apart from this, 2 seats have been reserved for foreign students in the BDS course. Foreign students taking admission to PhD course will now be able to participate through online interviews, so that they will not need to come to India.

Important dates and information

Students who want to correct their application form can do so till six days after the last date i.e. 13 April. Students taking admission in PG course will have to submit the results of their qualifying examination by 31 October 2025.
