The Central Board of Secondary Education i.e. CBSE 12th board examinations are over. The examination ended with the Psychology paper on 4th April i.e. last Friday. Both CBSE 10th and 12th board examinations started simultaneously on 15 February 2025. In this, while the 10th examination was over on 18 March itself, the 12th examination has now ended. Now lakhs of students who have taken the examination are waiting for the result. Let us know what is the update regarding the result of both the 10th and 12th board examinations.
How many students took the exam?
This year, about 42 lakh students appeared in the examination of both CBSE 10th and 12th board examinations. In this, about 17 lakh students appeared in the 12th examination, combining all three streams (Science, Arts and Commerce). CBSE took the examination of a total of 120 subjects combining all three streams and now the students are waiting for the result of all these examinations.
When can the result be released?
According to media reports, the results of both the 10th and 12th board exams will be released simultaneously. It is believed that the result can be declared by May 20. When the result is released, the students who appeared in the exam can see it on the official website of CBSE and results.cbse.nic.in.
Apart from CBSE websites, students can also check their results on the Umang app and DigiLocker. To check the result on DigiLocker, students will have to sign in to the digilocker.gov.in website or DigiLocker app or create an account.
When were the results released in the last 5 years?
If we talk about the dates of release of results of the last five years, then last year i.e. in 2024, CBSE released the results of both the 10th and 12th board examinations on 13 May, while in 2023 the result was released on 12 May and in 2022 on 22 July due to the Corona epidemic. Due to Kovid, there was a delay in releasing the results in 2021 and 2020 as well. The results were declared on 3 August 2021 and on 15 July in 2020.
