Union Public Service Commission i.e., UPSC, has invited applications for the post of Assistant Director. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online through the official website of UPSCupsc.gov.in. The application process for this recruitment has started, and the last date to apply is 14th August. Under this recruitment drive, a total of 45 posts will be filled in Income Tax (System), Revenue Department, Ministry of Finance.
UPSC Assistant Director Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria: What are the eligibility criteria?
Educational Qualification: Master's degree in Computer Applications/Computer Science or Master of Technology (MTech-with specialization in Computer Applications) or Bachelor of Engineering (BE)/Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized university
or
Degree in Computer Applications/Computer Science or Degree in Electronics/Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized university or Master's degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized university or degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
Age Limit: The age limit for General Category and EWS has been fixed at 35 years, 38 years for OBC, 40 years for SC-ST, and 45 years for PwBD.
Work Experience: Apart from this, work experience has also been sought from the candidates. The candidate should have two years of experience in electronic data processing, including experience in actual programming with EQ-A(i) or three years of experience in electronic data processing work, out of which at least one year of experience should be in actual computer programming with EQ-A(ii).
UPSC Assistant Director Recruitment 2025 Application Fee: What is the application fee?
Candidates applying for these posts will have to pay an application fee of Rs 25 only. The fee can be paid by depositing cash in any branch of SBI or by using the net banking facility of any bank or through a Visa/Master/Rupay/Credit/Debit Card/UPI payment.
At the same time, SC/ST/Divyang/Female candidates are exempted from paying the application fee, but no exemption has been given to male candidates of other backward classes and economically weaker sections apart from the general category; they will have to pay the fee.
UPSC Assistant Director Recruitment 2025 Selection Process: What is the selection process?
Candidates will be selected through an interview. Out of the total 100 marks of the interview, General/EWS category candidates must score at least 50 marks, OBC 45 marks and SC/ST/PwBD 40 marks.
