"Be it in Bhopal or Patna, he discharged his constitutional responsibilities with full honesty and maintained good relations with the people. While doing so, he connected with the 'Raj Bhavan Janata ke Dwar' campaign and strengthened the system. Today is the 90th birth anniversary of Lalji Tandon," Yogi Adityanath said while addressing the gathering here.
"I want to assure the Tandon family that the party stands with them, and the people of Lucknow also stand with them," the UP CM said.
Tandon was a tall BJP leader from the era of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and LK Advani. He died at a hospital in Lucknow in 2020. He took oath as Madhya Pradesh Governor in July 2019.

Meanwhile, Yogi Adityanath extended greetings on the birth anniversary of Rana Sanga. He posted on X, "On the birth anniversary of the Rana Sanga Ji, who was dedicated to the 'Dharmraksha', many salutes to him. His story of glory, a symbol of patriotism and sacrifice, is a golden chapter in history. His bravery will continue to irrigate the land of India with self-respect for centuries."
On Friday, the UP CM remarked that over the past 11 years, Kashi has undergone a remarkable transformation under the visionary leadership and guidance of the Prime Minister. He said, "Devotees from across the country are now thronging to witness the new, rejuvenated Kashi."

He added, "This is the same Kashi once known for its narrow lanes and persistent traffic congestion. Today, it stands tall as a symbol of modern development seamlessly blending with its ancient heritage."
Yogi Adityanath noted that while Kashi has always been an ancient seat of learning, its educational institutions were once in disarray. However, over the past 11 years, the city has launched developmental projects worth more than Rs 50,000 crore, focusing on health, tourism, infrastructure, and connectivity. (ANI)
