The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday, November 4, announced a 15-member India A squad for the upcoming Asian Cricket Council’s (ACC) Rising Stars Asia Cup, scheduled to be held in Qatar from November 14 to 23, 2025, at the West End International Cricket Stadium in Doha.
Wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma has been appointed as captain of the India A side, with Naman Dhir named as his deputy. The opening duties will be handled by the young duo of Priyansh Arya and Vaibhav Suryavanshi, both considered exciting prospects for the future. The middle order features Nehar Wadhera, Suryansh Shedge, Ramandeep Singh, Ashutosh Sharma, and Abhisek Porel, adding solid depth to the batting lineup.
In the bowling department, Harsh Dubey and Suyash Sharma will be the spin options, while Yash Thakur, Gurjapneet Singh, Vijay Kumar Vyshak, and Yudhvir Singh Charak form the pace attack. The BCCI has also named five standby players: Gurnoor Singh Brar, Kumar Kushagra, Tanush Kotian, Sameer Rizvi, and Shaik Rasheed.
India A have been drawn in Group B alongside Oman, UAE, and Pakistan A. Their campaign begins on November 14 against the UAE, followed by matches against Pakistan A and Oman. The final will be played on Sunday, November 23.
