Air India has extended the suspension of its flights to and from Tel Aviv until 8 May 2025. This decision comes after a recent security scare, when a missile attack near the Israeli airport forced a flight from Delhi to Tel Aviv to be diverted to Abu Dhabi.
The airline had earlier suspended flights until 6 May, but the suspension has now been extended by two more days for safety reasons.
Air India normally runs five flights a week between India and Tel Aviv.
In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the airline said, "Our flights to and from Tel Aviv will stay suspended till 8 May. Our ground teams are helping affected passengers with alternative travel plans."
The airline also announced that passengers holding valid tickets for travel until 8 May 2025 can either reschedule their journey without any extra charge or get a full refund if they cancel.
