GOT7 star Jackson Wang has been admitted to a hospital overseas after suffering from food poisoning. The incident occurred on August 15, 2025, forcing the rapper-singer to call off his scheduled fan event.
Health Scare and Event Cancellation
According to Taiwanese outlet ET Today, Wang was taken to the emergency ward after falling ill and is currently receiving medical attention. His agency, Team Wang Records, confirmed the development through an official statement, noting that doctors have strongly advised the artist to rest to ensure a full recovery.
In light of the situation, the company explained that all ticket holders for the cancelled meet-and-greet would receive full refunds directly to their accounts. They also assured supporters that a fresh date for the interaction will be announced once Wang regains his health. The label extended its apologies for the abrupt change in plans, adding that a rescheduled signing session will be organized in the near future.
Recent Music Release
Despite the setback, Wang has been active musically. His latest record, Magic Man 2, was unveiled globally on July 18, 2025. The album launch included a striking music video for the track Made Me a Man, which has been well received by fans. This project serves as the follow-up to his 2022 album Magic Man. Although originally set to arrive in 2023, production delays pushed its release first to 2024 and ultimately to mid-2025. The final version reflects a polished creative vision with bolder, more experimental sounds compared to its predecessor.
