Amy Jackson and Ed Westick's wedding planners reveals how the couple wanted to keep their wedding "hush hush"; add wedding planners "owe a lot to Made in Heaven and Band Baaja Baarat"

Reshma Ramaiah and Sushma Venkatesh , the duo behind Resh&Co , are no strangers to the world of high-profile weddings. With a client list that boasts the likes of Amy Jackson and Ed Westwick , these two women have proven themselves to be the go-to wedding planners for A-list couples. But what sets them apart from other wedding planners, and how do they manage to pull off the most talked-about weddings of the season?

When asked about their experience in Mumbai, Sushma said, "It's so incredible to be here and I think it's just having come from the south, you have sort of an idea of what Mumbai is. When we came here and then met everybody, they are just so interested in collaborating. It's like not like nobody feels like it's competition. Just so lovely to meet." Reshma added, "And it's very welcoming. Everybody's so welcoming. Everybody wants to know what you're doing. They're very encouraging."

One of the most talked-about weddings in recent times was Amy Jackson's wedding to Ed Westwick. Reshma shared some insights into their experience working with the couple. "They were very creative couple. They wanted to keep everything hush hush for some time and then they just announced it on Insta." Sushma added, "Amy is so easy to work with. She's so calm." Reshma chimed in, "She believed and trusted her planner. Their tablecloths were from India.

Amy was pregnant during the wedding, and Sushma revealed how they maintained and didn't intrude in their personal space. "We gave a lot of privacy in this part. We didn't involve ourselves a lot in such things. We didn't probe into it too much. We didn't want to interfere into the personal space," Sushma mentioned.

The two also talk how shows and movies like Band Baaja Baarat and Made in Heaven brought awareness in India about wedding planners. "These two shows gotten that perspective in India that you can have somebody doing the wedding planning for you. You don't have to do it yourself. As planners, we owe a lot and a big time for Made in Heaven and Band Baaja Baarat," Sushman explained.


When asked for tips on hiring a wedding planner, Sushma advised couples to trust their instincts and choose someone they feel comfortable with. "Go with your gut. Just when you meet somebody and you feel comfortable with them, go with them because they will spend, you'll probably spend the most amount of time with them than your spouse for the next few months. And if you don't feel comfortable with them, your day is going to be stressful."

Reshma added that couples should focus on what they want to achieve with their wedding, rather than just focusing on the cost. "Instead of asking that question, probably you should ask them what you can get on the table. You know, what is the experience that you can create for us? What's the memory that you can create for us? So when you understand the personal touch."
