The full conversation between Ravindra Jadeja and Ben Stokes from day five of the fourth Test at the Old Trafford in Manchester emerged as tensions simmered between both the teams. With Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar not wanting to shake hands, Stokes was seen confronting the former, suggesting that it's disgraceful to want centuries against Ben Duckett and Harry Brook.
The moment occurred after the 138th over of the innings as 15 overs were left in the day, meaning the last hour was remaining. The England captain had decided that they've had enough but the Indian batters refused to budge. While Jadeja was unbeaten at 89, while Sundar was not out at 80 as they wanted to complete their hundreds.
Meanwhile, one of the England players told Jadeja:
"If you wanted a hundred, you should've batted like it earlier."
Stokes then walked up to the spin-bowling all-rounder and said:
"You want to get a Test hundred against Harry Brook and Ben Duckett?"
Jadeja responded by saying:
"What do you want me to do, just walk off?"
Zak Crawley chipped in:
"Jaddu just shake your hands"
Jadeja further stated:
"I can't do anything."

Both Jadeja and Sundar managed to complete their hundreds later as Harry Brook and Joe Root offered some hittable deliveries to the Indian batters. Jadeja walked off unbeaten at 107, while Sundar completed his first Test hundred and strode off the ground not out at 101. As a result, the tourists salvaged a memorable draw ahead of the fifth Test against England at The Oval in London.
"Extremely pleased with the batting" - Shubman Gill
With Team India pulling off a great escape to draw the match ahead of the fifth Test, visiting skipper Shubman Gill lauded the players for showing the stomach to fight after being down and out. The Punjab-born cricketer said at the post-game presentation:
"Extremely pleased with the batting, under pressure the last couple of days, we responded after losing those two early wickets, never easy ... It's all about taking the day five wicket out of the equation, every ball is an event, take it ball by ball and take it as deep as possible. Learned a lot of things, every match going into the last session of the last day ... these four matches, it's taught us a lot as a group. Hopefully we can draw the series."
