Epic Games is reportedly planning to offer you more opportunities to part with your cash (no surprise there) as insiders have leaked a new feature that will allow players to purchase the exact number of V-Bucks they need for an in-game transaction.
Fortnite has undoubtedly raked in a fortune through the sale of V-Bucks, whether that's because fans are desperate for the bizarre Beavis and Butthead skins or simply subscribing to Fortnite Crew and letting them accumulate in their wallets. The turnover of cosmetics is quite remarkable by all standards, but the process of buying V-Bucks can be somewhat irritating, particularly when players are just a few hundred of the currency short of purchasing a full bundle, only to be compelled to fork out for 1,000 of them in the smallest top-up set.
It's not a perfect system, but it's intentional – after all, spending more on V-Bucks you probably won't use equates to more profit for Epic Games. However, it appears that change is imminent for players, as the game seems set to provide players the opportunity to top up their wallets to buy exactly what they're after. That is, everyone except players on one platform.

Picking up changeNew revelations from Fortnite insider
suggest that a fresh feature is on its way to Fortnite, enabling players to top up their V-Bucks wallet with the exact amount needed for their desired cosmetics. The insiders have unveiled an image of a screen offering the option to purchase larger bundles, but also allowing gamers to buy the "exact amount" required to secure the bundle they want.Starting October 14, Epic is adding an Exact Amount offer to the Fortnite V-Bucks purchasing page that lets you “top up” your V-Bucks balance to the exact amount needed for the item you’re trying to buy.

This new feature is reportedly set to launch on Tuesday, October 14, with players' V-Bucks wallet totals ending in '50' being rounded up on Friday, October 10, in hopes of making multiples of 100 the standard sum going forward. It's a bit complex overall, but it will ultimately provide players the chance to buy exactly what they want without any worry of leftover V-Bucks.
Interestingly, it appears that PlayStation is the only platform that won't support this system, with
stating that Sony won't permit the system at launch and that Epic Games will continue striving to ensure all platforms can participate. This is quite a surprising development, particularly following Xbox's console-specific issues.PlayStation will NOT have the new V-Bucks feature 💀

There's a slim chance that purchasing the precise amount of V-Bucks required will be the most cost-effective choice, particularly as PlayStation gamers won't have this option, at least when the feature officially launches – but it's a fresh alternative that could be quite handy for some. After all, Epic Games is keen to make it as straightforward as possible for you to part with your cash, and this is another tool in its kit to ensure that occurs.
