Emmerdale fans 'rumble' secret John Sugden victim - and they died before Nate

There could be a brutal murder discovery on the way on , as two murders remain secret from most of the village.

We know that Anthony Fox was killed by Ruby Miligan earlier this year, with John Sugden disposing of the body. A handful of residents have covered up the crime, while suspicions have been raised.

What only one person knows about is that Nate Robinson has also been murdered. His body was shown at the bottom of a lake in February, wrapped in a sheet and chained.

Only his killer knows he is there, and no one even knows he's dead. But could there be another murder victim, amid a theory that John is a secret serial killer?

John has been tipped as the killer of Nate, while fans are also sure he killed the mystery Aidan Moore he was in the army with. Emmerdale has confirmed there's some twists in store as we finally learn more about John's past in upcoming episodes.

Flashbacks will reveal more about what John is hiding, as it's been teased he's got a dark secret. Ahead of the big reveal, fans shared they were now more convinced than ever that John was up to no good.

It got fans speculating who else he may have killed if he is a murderer, and one name has been shared. One character in particular made a rather abrupt exit from the village last year just months after their debut.

If John really has killed this person then it would make them his first village victim, and would mean they were killed before Nate. Rose Jackson, the mother of Dawn Taylor, joined the show as part of a plot with Ruby Miligan.

Rose ended up being driven out of the village by Kim Tate and her ex Will Taylor, Dawn's father. Her plan to destroy Kim and Will was exposed, so they gave her a load of cash and threatened her to leave.

Her disappearance sparked concern with her feared to have been harmed, only for Dawn to reveal she'd found her mum. The pair teamed up to trick Will and Kim before Dawn exposed everything.

That said we never saw Rose again, and she never returned to the village. She just fled and that was it, despite fans betting she would target Will or Kim.

Now fans are wondering whether the abrupt exit could have been a shocking murder, which would have happened before John even arrived in the village. They think Rose might have been John's first village victim, and she might be in the lake too.

One viewer posted online: "Did we know for sure that Dawn's mum left the village? Or is she at the bottom of the lake too?" Another fan agreed: "Now there may lie the truth."

A third viewer said: "I thought I saw a bracelet. I’m sure Dawn's kids made her mum one? Maybe both down there." A further theory read: "I know Nate’s supposed to be under the lake BUT I thought the first shot underwater of the bracelet, wasn't it something Dawn's kids made for “grandma” when Dawn hadn’t told the kids who she was???"
