There were some almighty twists on Emmerdale on Monday night as newcomer Kev was revealed to be Robert Sugden's secret husband.
With that there was also a death bombshell, a glimpse into Robert's time in prison and a threat against killer John Sugden. As for the latter discovery, it certainly hinted that if Kev and John were to cross paths, he'd want to take action.
As the episode kicked off and we first saw Kev, it became apparent it was Robert he was trying to track down. As the pair got talking it was revealed they were lovers in prison, sharing a smooch which Kev wasn't entirely impressed with.
Not thinking Robert put enough effort in, Kev kissed him again before declaring he was his husband. So Kev and Robert married in prison, and as far as Kev believes they are still together.

He has no idea in that very village is Aaron Dingle, the true love of Robert. The pair were soon interrupted by Robert's sister Victoria Sugden who wanted answers.
But just before this came the bombshell from Kev that he was dying. Robert was left reeling as his hubby informed him he was on day release, and that's why he was visiting him as he had some news.
Wanting to tell him in person, he broke the news that he had been given just months to live, six maximum. Robert was gutted and Kev suggested he just wanted Robert's support, to which he agreed.
It was during his chat with Victoria though that Robert made things clear. He revealed he was targeted in prison, and that if it wasn't for Kev he could be dead. With beatings and harassment, Kev stopped people from hurting Robert and "literally saved him".
Robert told his sibling that he "owed" Kev, and wanted to support him during his sad illness. Victoria pointed out this would not go down well with Aaron, and Robert added that Kev had a lot of money and was keen to get his hands on this once Kev had sadly passed away.
More details will be revealed soon likely about Kev, but Robert told Vic that they married after Kev "saved" him, with Robert needing protection. He also pointed out he never thought he'd leave prison until 14 years were up, so he was effectively building a new life for himself in jail.
But now that the secret us out, how will Aaron react? There may also have been a hint that Kev could destroy John if he has the chance. John is on the run and in hiding after his dark crimes came to light.
When Kev learned someone had framed Robert recently, landing him back in a cell, he demanded to know who it was. Robert refused to name them and told him it was sorted, but Kev got angry and made it clear that if he knew who it was, he'd get rid of them for once and for all.
It was clear by Robert's reaction that Kev is not to be messed with. So if John was to ever come back, could we expect Kev to be the one to take him down?
