The Galactic Battle comes to Epic Games' leading battle royale, and the Fortnite early patch notes have revealed a season stuffed with great content.
has been talking a big game about its incoming Chapter 6 Season 3, with all of its -themed bells and whistles, but there are tiny details that we still need to know before we get too stuck into its lightsaber-swinging action. Chief among them, actually, is whether we’ll actually be getting lightsabers.
There are set to be several returning skins, weapons and items that reflect previous events that have pulled from the galaxy far, far away, and without any information about what they could be, all we really know is that the is being stripped away from us, and that the Black Markets of the game will no longer be a focus, setting our back to zero (that’s if they even make it into the next phase of the game). Essentially, we’re in the dark, besides a few online teases that haven’t really illuminated all that much.
Luckily, though, there are a few methods of locking down some of the features that actually are coming to the game in the new update, and luckily for us, they point to several fixes for frustrating bugs, as well as a few new goodies for players, especially those who are interested in Fortnite Festival. So, what exactly is there to enjoy in the next season? Here’s everything you need to know about the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 early patch notes.

) - A new Star Wars Battle Pass, featuring a new skin for Evie, and new appearances from Wookie Team Leader, Poe Dameron, General Greivous and Emperor Palpatine (

) - Three incoming original Star Wars-themed Jam Tracks – Rebel’s Run, The Dark Side and Where My Wookie’s At (

)
There's plenty here for Star Wars fans, but frankly, it's also a nice amount of content for regular players too. It's a little early to say for sure, but it looks like could have covered all bases comfortably with these Fortnite early patch notes.
Bug fixesWhen it comes to seeing what is definitely coming in any given bout of Fortnite early patch notes, we can handily turn to the , where Epic Games developers share with fans the bugs they’re aware of, and the ones that are next to appear in-game. We would usually take a look at the bugs marked as “fixed in next game update” to see what’s coming, but as we’re looking at an entire seasonal changeover, we could be safe to take a look at those marked as “fixed in future game update” instead to see what could soon be resolved.
Here’s everything marked as “fixed in a future game update” on the Fortnite Community Trello board at the time of writing:
General Issues- Built-in Emotes do not play in Creative / UEFN Experiences – We’re investigating an issue where built-in emotes, emotes attached to certain Outfits only, do not play when in a Creative or UEFN experience.
- The Technician Naya Outfit may have display issues in Performance mode (PC) – If the player uses Performance Mode on PC and equips or previews the Technician Naya Outfit in the Locker, they may notice visual issues of the Outfit being distorted.
- The scrollbar overlaps the Home Shop options in the ‘Homes’ app tab (PS4, Brick Life) – If the player opens the Phone app and navigates to the ‘Homes’ tab, they may see that the scrollbar will overlap with the Home Shop options.
- Players might get stuck if they use Jam Loops just before completing a mission – If the player is jamming right before their Mission ends, they might get stuck for about two minutes before they are sent back to the Homebase. This occurs if Performance Mode is used.
- Flutter’s Wisp eliminations do not trigger ‘On Elimination’ effects or contribute to Combat Score – When paired with an ‘on Elimination’ effect ability, Flutter’s Wisplight (+) Perk will not trigger the given effect, or count towards the Mission Combat Score.
The Fortnite early patch notes are a lot to get stuck into, and we’re barely prepared to see it all pan out. It’s going to be a very big season packed into a short form factor, so we’re going to have to enjoy it while it’s here. We hope you didn’t have any other plans in May.
