A singer on tomorrow night’s says it’s her “time to shine” after being rejected by the show before. Louise Hall, 30, takes to the stage, determined to show the judges she has what it takes to win.

She last auditioned for BGT last year in front of , and - but failed to make it past the first round after her performance fell flat. Refusing to take no for an answer, the mum-of-one from Swansea is back tonight and impressed the judges with her powerful voice. “I actually auditioned last year but I didn’t go through,” explained Louise, who the judges don’t recognise.

“I understand why. Since then my singing has gone to the next level - I have been practising day in; day out to get back out there. It just shows how determined I have been to impress the judges.

“This year is my moment, it was my time, and the stars all aligned. I came back unrecognisable and I wanted to audition in my new happy era. I was not the same person back then. This time, it’s my time to shine.”

Her audition on the show gets off to a stuttering start, when Simon stops her mid song while performing Something Beautiful by Jacob Banks and asks her to try a different track. She vows to “fight” and belts ’s hit And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going to a rapturous response.

Louise has dreamed of singing in front of Simon since she was a little girl. Auditioning for his other talent show in 2013, she got through to bootcamp, but she was never aired. It was the year Simon wasn’t on the show, and was a judge. So she took her opportunity on last night’s show with both hands. She said: “I don’t feel I have been given the right opportunity until now. It feel like it’s now or never. It's my last chance."

Spending her teens gigging in pubs and clubs and working as a singing teacher, she hopes this could be the prong board to the life and career she’s always wanted. She said: “I’m always just hoping for that one person to be in the audience somewhere just to kind of spot me and say ‘That girl's got a talent, like, let's do something with it.’ It’s just being in the right place at the right time and, and just, I haven't been there yet, and until I audition for and hopefully people will get to see me now.”

Mum to four-year-old daughter Xenaiya-Raine, it’s an exciting year for Louise as she plans her wedding to partner Marianne, 30. The couple, who live in Pontypool, South Wales, get married in Ibiza in June - days after the BGT final. “I could get to the final and get married straight after - that'd be amazing, wouldn't it?" she smiles. "It couldn’t be more perfect.”

A wedding singer in her spare time, Louise has vowed not to get on the mic at her own wedding. She says: “I love singing at weddings. I'm a proper sucker for love. But no, at our wedding we are having a musician that's not me, so that I can enjoy the day and not worry.”

She says there could be invites for the judges if they play their cards right. “Maybe I could get them along, squeeze them in!” she said.
