Mumbai: ‘Bigg Boss 19’ contestant, Tanya Mittal, broke down in the recent episode of the show, recalling her childhood trauma.
During a nomination task, contestant Kunickaa Sadanand triggered Tanya’s painful childhood memories by passing hurtful comments on her mother.
In the challenge, the housemates were asked to distract Gaurav and Tanya from pressing the buzzer after 19 minutes.
During the challenge, Kunickaa remarked that Tanya’s mother had “not taught her anything.” Though Tanya managed to complete the task, she was visibly shaken by Kunickaa’s statement, leading to a tearful breakdown after the task.
Sharing details of her traumatic childhood, Tanya revealed that her father used to beat her and also tried to get her married at the age of 19, which eventually led to her fight for independence.
“My father used to beat me, and my mother would save me. I started my business with great difficulty. I needed permission to wear a saree or even step outside. I was 19 when they almost got me married off. I wanted to die,” she shared.
She expressed her gratitude towards her mother, who protected her and was the source of her strength.
Tanya’s emotional revelation left the housemates shocked and they called out Kunickaa for being insensitive.
Tanya, an entrepreneur and influencer, is also the founder of her lifestyle label, Handmade with Love by Tanya.
