US President has confirmed that to meet his "friend" . Speaking in the Oval Office on Thursday, Mr Trump said, "I think we're setting a date for September", adding that it was a "great honour" to receive the invitation.
Mr Trump, who met Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni today - whom the King met while on his four-state visit to Italy last week - said that it was an "honour" to be "a friend" of the King and "the family, William". The US President said: "I was invited by the King and the great country. They are going to do a second fest - that's what it is. It is beautiful. It is the second time it has happened to one person.
"The reason is we have two separate terms, and it's an honour to be a friend of King Charles and the family, William.
"I think they are setting a date for September. I don't know how it can be bigger than the last one.
"The last one was incredible but they say the next one will be even more important."
The US President was full of praise for Prince William after they met last year in Paris for the ceremonial reopening of Notre Dame after the devastating 2019 fire.
Following the ceremony, the two men met at the residence of the British ambassador, where Mr Trump told reporters as he was greeting the prince: "Good man, this one."
He also gave him a five-word praise by telling the media: "He's doing a fantastic job".
After their meeting, the US President told The New York Post: "I had a great talk with the prince."
He also praised his looks, adding that he is "very handsome".
The US President added: "He's a good-looking guy. He looked really, very handsome last night. Some people look better in person? He looked great. He looked really nice, and I told him that."
