Two hotels are on lockdown as protests over the housing of asylum seekers begin to get underway. Crowds have started gathering outside a hotel in Canary Wharf, London, that's reportedly preparing to house migrants, while another protest is expected outside The Bell Hotel in Epping, Essex, after an asylum seeker was charged with allegedly attempting to kiss a 14-year-old girl.

Hadush Gerberslasie Kebatu, 38, denied the charge at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court and will stand trial in August. Essex Police have imposed restrictions to curb any violence or disorder ahead of the latest protests outside The Bell Hotel. This includes a ban on face coverings, as well as a dispersal order until 8am on Monday, giving police the power to remove anyone suspected of engaging in anti-social behaviour.
