Prince William's and Kate's new neighbours issue major complaint ahead of house move

Prince William and Princess Kate have a busy few months ahead as they prepare to relocate to Forest Lodge in Windsor with their three children. While the property is only a short drive from their current Adelaide Cottage home, there is plenty to do ahead of the move, which will consist of more than just packing up their belongings.

As a future King and Queen, moving house for William and Kate is not as simple as it is for the rest of us. This is because a number of security measures need to be put in place, with CCTV cameras and new fences already being installed around their new mansion.

Other measures being put in place include a new no-go zone around Forest Lodge for the safety of the family.

According to The Times, measures include a 2.3-mile perimeter around the property, with locals no longer able to access the area within this zone.

This includes access to the Cranbourne Gate entrance and parking lot of Windsor Great Park, which locals reportedly pay around £150 per year to use.

While this is necessary for the safety of the family, some locals are not delighted by the news, especially those who have used the area for decades.

One person told The Sun: "Many of us have been walking our dogs here for 20 years, so to be told we can't any more is a kick in the teeth."

They continued: "We pay annually towards the upkeep of a park, but we are no longer going to be allowed to use part of it. They've only given us a few days' notice to say this section of forest is closing forever. Now I'll need to get in my car to drive further afield to take my dog for a walk."

Another dog walker complained that it was "disappointing", even though they understand why such security measures are needed.

He said: " Obviously, it's disappointing as my dog loves it here. We come here every couple of weeks, and we're going to have to find somewhere else now for him to get the miles in. But I completely understand that the safety of William, Kate and their family is paramount, so we should make sure they can live happily here."

A move-in date has not been publicly confirmed, however it is believed William, Kate and their three children will call Forest Lodge home by the end of the year. Kensington Palace has been approached for comment.
