Tom Cruise made a surprise appearance via video message at Prince William's Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony last night.
In his prerecorded message, the Hollywood star apologised for not being in Rio de Janeiro to celebrate, but congratulated the evening's winners and every finalist.
The actor said in a video message: "Good evening Rio, my dear friend your royal highness...I'm sorry I couldn't be there in person to celebrate with you all but I wanted to take a moment to congratulate tonight's winners and to congratulate every finalist, and thank you for all the great work you're doing.
"Reminding us what's possible when commitment meets purpose, but thank you for all for all the work you do and congratulations again, enjoy your evening."
Prince William founded The Earthshot Prize in 2020 with the aim of finding innovative ways to help repair and improve the planet.
Every year, the future King and his Earthshot team search the world to reward those who are actively making or trying to create solutions that could massively help improve the Earth.
These winners, celebrated at the annual awards, are rewarded with money to help them develop their ideas further.
Prince William is extremely passionate about The Earthshot Prize, giving another powerful speech last night at the award ceremony in Brazil.
The Prince of Wales said: "The issues that continue to face our world are a threat to all of us, but when we unite, our momentum is unstoppable.
"The momentum to face any challenge, no matter how intimidating. The momentum to achieve truly astonishing impact, faster than imagined."
Princess Kate was not present at the award ceremony and instead has stayed at home in Windsor with the couple's three children, who will no doubt be supporting from afar.
