The Delhi Milk Scheme (DMS) marked a significant milestone on 13th August 2025 with the launch of new dairy products and the distribution of booth allotment letters at the NASC Complex, Pusa, New Delhi. The event was graced by Smt. Alka Upadhyaya, Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying (DAHD), along with other senior officials.
The occasion celebrated the digital launch of Cow Milk and co-branded dairy products, reinforcing the commitment to enhance product quality, consumer trust, and farmer empowerment. As part of the initiative, 22 new booth allotment letters were handed over to selected applicants under DMS, creating fresh employment opportunities and strengthening the rural–urban dairy connection.
In her keynote address, Smt. Alka Upadhyaya emphasized the vision of reinforcing the dairy ecosystem through improved product offerings and inclusive opportunities for all stakeholders across the value chain. She also lauded the efforts of DMS and the Haryana Milk Federation for introducing their new products in the market. Ms. Varsha Joshi, Additional Secretary DAHD, highlighted the importance of the DMS brand for Delhi NCR and the significance of these new product introductions.
The event also saw participation from Shri Rama Shankar Sinha, Additional Secretary DAHD, Shri Jagat Hazarika, Advisor DAHD, Sh. Ram Avtar Garg, Chairman, Vita of Haryana Dairy Development Co-Operative Federation Ltd., along with senior officials, dairy stakeholders, and beneficiaries of the booth allotment scheme.
This initiative reflects DMS’s commitment to quality, innovation, and inclusive growth in the dairy sector, creating a robust bridge between rural producers and urban consumers.
