Agra: A fierce storm swept through Firozabad district on Friday night, claiming four lives and causing widespread damage. Strong winds uprooted trees, blew away tin sheds, and led to multiple wall collapses across several villages.

In Ailan Nagar, 75-year-old Sonpyari Devi died after a tin shed collapsed on her due to falling bricks from a neighbour's roof. She was initially given first-aid and sent home, but her condition worsened, and she died at the hospital on Saturday. In Narkhi village, 28-year-old daily wager Rachit Gaur died after a tree fell on him while he was riding a bike back home from work. He was declared dead at the district hospital.

In Nagla Khangar, a tree fell on 50-year-old farmer Captain Singh while he was asleep near his house, killing him on the spot. Another death was reported in Nagla village of Jasrana, where 70-year-old farmer Ram Bharose died after a tin shed collapsed on him during the storm.

Additional district magistrate of Firozabad, Vishu Raja, said on Sunday, "We have collected information about all victims, and the officials have inspected the spots and prepared a report on the disaster. A compensation of Rs 4 lakh each will be provided to all families of the victims." However, officials said that Rachit Gaur's family did not consent to a postmortem examination, which may affect eligibility for compensation. His body was handed over to the family after they submitted written consent.
