Agartala: Lok Sabha Member from Tripura, Biplab Kumar Deb, on Monday said that the CPM doesn't have a face or leader known across the country, while the Congress party only revolves around one family, reports Biswendu Bhattacharjee.
Speaking at a convention on One Nation, One Election, he emphasised that the initiative is necessary, as frequent elections require a long time and involve huge expenditure. Reacting to the appointment of Tripura Leader of Opposition, Jitendra Chaudhury, to the CPM Politburo, Deb said the CPM faced a leadership crisis.
In contrast, the BJP has leaders, faces that people recognise everywhere.
