Jaipur: E-Athlead, a subsidiary of Shrachi Sports, has launched ‘Mahaguru Ka Masterclass', an innovative digital cricket coaching series designed to provide high-quality training for aspiring cricketers and coaches. Developed under the mentorship of former World Cup-winning Indian cricketer and coach Sandeep Patil and in alignment with National Cricket Academy (NCA) guidelines, this expert-led tutorial series was officially introduced at Rajasthan Cricket Academy (RCA) in Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Tuesday evening, following its initial launch in Kolkata last month.

This initiative seeks to make NCA-aligned coaching content more accessible to aspiring cricket coaches while also delivering high-level training for young cricketers. The launch event was attended by esteemed former players and coaches, including Sandeep Patil and Dinesh Nanavaty.

The comprehensive series comprises ten episodes dedicated to batting, with wicketkeeping covered in four episodes under the guidance of nationally recognised coach Dinesh Nanavaty.

Additionally, a four-episode segment on bowling and fielding is led by former cricketer and coach Gautam Shome. To provide holistic training experience, the programme also includes two episodes focused on physical fitness, conducted by fitness scientist Rahul Patwardhan.

Speaking at the event, Sandeep Patil emphasised the importance of structured cricket coaching in India. He remarked, "Cricket is more than just a sport in India, yet coaching remains largely unregulated. Only a small percentage of coaches hold proper certifications. The NCA conducts a limited number of training programmes annually, allowing only a handful of coaches from each state to participate. This initiative enables a larger number of coaches to receive the same level of training, significantly bolstering the cricket coaching framework in India. Additionally, while elite players receive specialised coaching, many young cricketers at the grassroots level lack quality training. By the time they reach advanced levels, fundamental technical flaws can hinder their progress. ‘Mahaguru Ka Masterclass' aims to bridge this gap by providing structured, certified coaching to emerging cricketers."

Dinesh Nanavaty further highlighted the necessity of standardised coaching. He stated, "Many parents invest significant time and financial resources in their children's cricket training. However, coaching standards at academies can be inconsistent. Are young cricketers learning the right techniques? Are their coaches properly certified? This digital coaching series directly addresses these concerns and has the potential to be a game-changer in cricket coaching in India."

Priced at Rs 4,999, this 23-episode tutorial series aims to transform cricket training by offering expert-led instruction from the beginning, ensuring that young players receive the right coaching foundation to confidently pursue their cricketing ambitions.
