Kochi: Thalassery archbishop Mar Joseph Pamplany inaugurated a Christian community rights declaration summit at Muthalakulam Ground in Kozhikode on Saturday.
Speaking to the media, Pamplany said that no one needs to scare the Church by saying that the church bill will be implemented. "If the Church assimilated anything, it was through the hard work of the people of the Church and the unity of the global Church. So, only those who amassed anything unjustly need to worry about such a bill. The Church has no fear about such a bill. The Church will take just stands at the required time," said Pamplany.
Pamplany said that the Church has not done any special planning on floating a political outfit. At the same time, for an organized system like the Church, it is not hard to execute it if such a need arises. However, for the time being, it is not a priority. Now, the focus is to invite the attention of political parties to injustices, he added.
