RAIPUR: NTPC will now sell coal from its Talaipalli coal mining project in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, to general customers. Earlier, coal from this mine was primarily for the company's own power plants.
NTPC Mining Limited, which operates the project, has scheduled a pre-bid meeting and client site visit for May 28. A large number of traders from across the country are expected to participate.
The company plans to make approximately 2 lakh metric tonnes of coal available for sale. The sale will be conducted through Metal Scrap Trade Corporation Limited (MSTC), starting June 6.
During the site visit on May 28, prospective buyers will inspect the mine to ensure transparency and promote competitive bidding.
