Reddit reacts to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s presence in San FranciscoGiannis Antetokounmpo is among the top three NBA players at present, and the NBA analysts too are busy talking about his possible trade. As the news of Giannis attending the Google event in San Francisco was shared on Reddit, NBA fans were quick to calculate the significance of his presence in the city.
Many assumed he will definitely meet Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry during his visit. A Reddit user wrote, “Giannis & Steph, even with Steph being old, would be the most fascinating duo in NBA history.”
Another pointed out, “Any team can get it done if Giannis insists it has to be that team. At that point it's just speculating for the fun of it.” Talking about the possible nature of his trade, a Reddit user mentioned, “He only has 2 years left. So it would be for a 2 year rental.” One more said, “Giannis is going to pick his team. We could narrow it down quite easily from that.”
A Reddit user also said, “Windy claims the Warriors could get it done if Giannis insists it has to be the Warriors. They have pretty much all of their future draft picks. So they could do something like 4 unprotected firsts through 2032, and 3 unprotected swaps in between. After all Giannis has done for Milwaukee, trading him to his preferred destination is the least they could do. They should feel lucky he even signed their long term and be happy with 7 unprotected picks/swaps, they shouldn't be selfish.”
