• India and Sri Lanka to seal defence pact

PM Narendra Modi and Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will hold talks in Colombo, where the two sides are set to sign a landmark defence cooperation pact. Agreements on debt restructuring, a currency swap framework and the Trincomalee oil project are also expected during the meeting.

• Home minister in Bastar for security review
