The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Tuesday said it carried out a fresh round of airstrikes targeting Hezbollah’s “Radwan Force” infrastructure in Lebanon’s Beqaa region, hitting six military compounds used for training terrorists.
In a post on X, the IDF confirmed that the strikes were carried out by Israeli Air Force (IAF) fighter jets, guided by intelligence from the Military Intelligence Directorate and the Northern Command. The targeted compounds were reportedly being used to train Hezbollah operatives in gunfire combat and weapons use, allegedly in preparation for attacks on Israeli soldiers and civilians.
“These sites, where terrorists trained in gunfire combat and weapons use, are a clear violation of past understandings between Israel and Lebanon and a direct threat to Israel’s security,” the IDF stated.
The Radwan Force is a special Hezbollah unit previously linked to the group’s “Conquer the Galilee” plan. Although its top commanders were eliminated during Israel’s Operation “Northern Arrows” in 2024, the IDF said the unit has since been attempting to reestablish its operational capabilities.
Along with the announcement, the IDF released a 15-second video marking all six targeted locations in the Beqaa Valley. It reiterated that dismantling Hezbollah ’s terror infrastructure remains a strategic priority.
“The IDF will continue to dismantle Hezbollah’s terror infrastructure and prevent any effort to reestablish its capabilities,” the statement concluded.
