The White House on Wednesday shared a set of humorous Halloween “costume” images featuring political figures — but it was Vice President JD Vance's costume that quickly became the center of online chatter.

In a post on X captioned “Choose wisely,” the White House showcased four mock costume packages featuring President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Democratic lawmakers Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries.

Labeled “JD Vance,” the costume referenced “please” and “you didn’t say thank you” memes, and included the line “Not included - fat JD curly hair .”

The phrase immediately caught users’ attention, as it referred to a viral online edit of Vance’s face that has circulated widely across social media platforms.

The “you didn’t say thank you” reference pointed to Vance’s February encounter with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House, when Vance scolded Zelenskyy for not thanking Trump for his support to Ukraine amid its conflict with Russia.

The Halloween post quickly sparked reactions online. One X user wrote, “Never thought the actual White House X account would be some of the funniest content on the platform.” Another added, “I gotta know who runs this admins accounts, they're doing wonders for culture.”

A third chimed in, “The choice is easy,” alongside a picture of the viral “fat JD curly hair” meme.

The post continued White House communications director Stephen Cheung’s streak of sharp, meme-inspired content that mirrors Trump’s own combative social media style, reported the Irish Star.

Trump’s online team has also embraced AI-generated visuals in recent months, portraying him as a superhero, the Pope, and even a jet pilot dropping feces over “No Kings” protestors in US cities.
