Visakhapatnam: Despite a string of poor batting performances, Bangladesh bowlers had made a mark against different opposition in the tournament. But on Thursday, they were clueless against mighty Australia .

Captain Alyssa Healy ’s unbeaten 113 (77b, 20x4) — her second successive century — powered the reigning champions to a crushing 10-wicket victory in the Women’s World Cup clash. Australia are back on top of the table with their fourth victory.

Chasing Bangladesh’s 198/9, largely thanks to Sobhana Mostary’s unbeaten 66 (80b, 9x4), Healy took her team home with Phoebe Litchfield (84*; 72b, 12x4, 1x6).

Healy smashed three straight boundaries off left-arm pacer Fariha Trisna for 18 runs in the fifth over to set the tone. Litchfield smashed off-spinner Nishita Akter for three boundaries in the eighth over. She then belted one from Fahima Khatun down the ground for the first six of the match.

Scores: Bangladesh 198/9 (Sobhana Mostary 66*, Rubya Haider 44; Georgia Wareham 2/22, Alana King 2/18) lost to Australia 202/0 in 24.5 overs (Alyssa Healy 113*, Phoebe Litchfield 84*).
